Firmware 9.3.3: One Button to Sync All Your Knobs
Share
A small release with a genuinely useful new trick for anyone who's ever had to wiggle all their knobs just to get their DAW to catch up.
The Problem: Your Software Doesn't Know Where Your Knobs Are
MIDI CC is event-driven. A potentiometer or encoder only sends a value when it moves. This means if you open a plugin, load a preset, or restart your DAW while your ParksTool is already connected — the software has no idea where any of the knobs are sitting until you touch them.
The typical workaround? Wiggle each knob slightly to force it to re-send its current value. On an 8-knob device, that's eight individual nudges, every time.
One of our users put it perfectly:
"On the 8 knobs strip with 2 buttons, is there a way to set one of the buttons to transmit the current values of all the knobs? Like wherever they're currently set, the button would send the 8 CC values without me having to slightly wiggle all 8 knobs to get them to re-send their values?"
Great idea. We built it.
Firmware 9.3.3: Broadcast P/E Values
In firmware 9.3.3, any button can now be set to instantly broadcast the current value of every active knob, fader, and encoder on the device — in one press.
Press it once: all CC values fly out. Your DAW, plugin, or hardware is immediately in sync with wherever your controls are physically set. No wiggling required.

How to Set It Up
- Update to firmware 9.3.3 (no configuration reset needed)
- Open the Web Configuration Tool
- Click the key (button) you want to use
- Set Content Type to SPECIAL
- Set Action to Broadcast P/E Values
- Click APPLY
That's it. The button now acts as a "sync snapshot" — press it any time to push all current knob positions to your software.
What Gets Broadcast
- Included: All enabled Potentiometers, Encoders, and Faders set to MIDI Normal mode
- Excluded: Keys/buttons (they don't have a continuous position value)
- On press only: Nothing happens when you release the button
When Is This Useful?
- Opening a session — sync all knobs to your DAW immediately on load
- Loading a preset — push physical positions to the plugin after switching presets
- Live performance — reassure yourself (and your software) that everything is exactly where you left it before a set
- After a crash — re-sync without touching each control individually
Updating
Firmware 9.3.3 is a revision-only update — the memory map is identical to 9.3.2, so no configuration reset is required. Your existing settings carry over.
- Download from the firmware download page
- Extract the archive and run
uploader_windows.exe(Windows) or open with Terminal (Mac) - The web configurator opens automatically on success
As always, take a screenshot of your config before updating — just in case.
